When life gives you lemons,
you are told to make lemonade,
what are these metaphorical lemons?
the hardships we face,
the tears we shed,
or the laughs we cherish?
what is the lemonade?
the promise of something better,
the hope we hold dear,
or the words we whisper,
like something precious,
we hold on to the threads of life.

Ernest Hemingway: If it's bad, I'll hate it. If it's good, then I'll be envious and hate it even more. You don't want the opinion of another writer.

along with the others, i like this poem too. my only suggestion is too use capitalization and too put a semicolon or period after "or the words we whisper." but other than that, i liked this poem a lot. keep up the goo work!

Great work on the poem. Short, sweet, and to the point. I hope it gets published. Keep up the good work.

I like it mostly. The one line that says "what are these metaphorical lemons?" seems too long.
