you can never be forgotten
your more than a memory can hold
your every around me
if your not by myside
the sound of your voice
still echoes in my head
the tight grip you had
when you held my hand
near the end of your time
the tears that filled my eyes
the day the world went black
without a light to guide me

The author's comments:
i wrote this poem right after my great grandmother died the day of the funeral that i refused to go to she was my best friend soon after she died i picked up again on playing my flute because when she grew sick i played it in the hospital for her then after we took her home i would play it for her but when she died i stopped my world had ended so then after almost a year i thought maybe she would want me to play again so i played it again and i still do...she died less than a year and a half ago.
