Remembrance
Starting off your big and bold,
But through the years comes feeble and old.
Through and through you're changing tunes,
And before you know it, you're a loon.
I'll always love you all the same;
Notes, rests. repeats, or cues
It's you I love, not your age.
Look the end is drawing near.
Constant breath we're almost here.
Posture, poise, and attitude;
Keep it up, we all love you.
Take this serious; it's not a game.
Louder, softer, long, or short;
The Lord himself I will not blame.
Hold that note until we're done,
And do it now while we are young.
Although time is short, and you aren't mine.
I'll have you once along the line.
Through thick and thin, snow or rain;
yells, whistles, stomps, or claps;
I'll love you now, I'll love you then.
From time and time, and time again.
