She told me I am beautiful
Surely an episode of such spontaneity cannot have been contrived
There’s nothing to (mis)
interpret
There’s nothing to (mis)
understand
There’s only me
Her word
And my mirror, reflecting the opposite
I dwell not because I ponder her meaning
But because I wonder if her mirror
The one her eyes are sculpted from
Was purchased from a fun house
