Burning
Spilling toxicity as if a fountainhead
Rage spews out of the black aura
 Of that poor, charred soul.
Hazardous to those that venture too near
Suffering the light kiss of that spray
 Of overflowing bitterness.
It permeates even the toughest skin,
 Easily absorbed as hungrily
 As the sun’s rays,
 And just as scorching.
For wrath burns raw and red,
 Destructive and deadly when untamed.
 Flickering flames lick, scarring surroundings,
 Testing what articles will catch
And join in their hellish melee.
