Time for Preschool!
Dad was at work... mom was busy
We giggled and I handed him some scissors
Every.
second.
I observed
the scissors coming closer and closer,
Until finally
CHOP..
CHOP..
CHOP..
my brother handed me some locks of hair
and we exchanged looks
More chop and clip..
“Preschool starts tomorrow.”
“Your hair has to be great!”
We pranced downstairs to reveal it to my mom
*Sigh. “ Who wants to take a trip to the parlor for a hair cut?”
....
CHOP..
CHOP..
Again.

This is one of the cutest poems I have read in a long time. I am very impressed! This brings back a lot of childhood memories for me:)
