Favorite Quote:
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all.

-Emily Dickinson

she mourns like a child

quiet, shivering hands
secluding her from the world that has put her here
voice a quiet breeze
drowning in the dark pool of despair.
silent shivers and anxiety ripples off her skin
depression tangible to foreign hands
invisible to her own

The author's comments:
My cousin lost someone very important to her. I just saw her curled up on the floor, and this poem was inspired.
