A Pen at It's Start
My mind is gone, I cannot sleep.
I need you now.
My thoughts on retreat.
Only minutes until the thoughts pour as tears.
I’m almost out of time.
Feels bottled up for years.
I cry out in the dark, but never any replies.
I need this tension gone
Wishing to revitalize.
I reach towards the desk, fingers stretched out-right.
I’m losing grip.
I’m losing sight.
Victory is held in the palm of my hand.
I won
My heart is now in command.
Pen to the paper, releasing my heart.
Poem on the rise.
A pen at its start.
