Falling Leaves
Drops of happiness falling down
Onto the cold, forgotten ground
Colors of oranges and reds
Surrounding my tired body
As I lie here with my eyes closed
The breeze rushing through the trees
All around is nothing but silence
Everyone else has gone away
The days of joy have come to an end
Leaving behind only emptiness
The birds gone, animals sleeping
I am here all alone with my thoughts
Even those bring me no comfort
Shivering hurt runs down my back
Chilling me as I wait now
For someone, anyone to come
