When I Dream...

When I dream…
When I dream,
I visit the sun, moon,
And stars.
Sometimes they quarrel,
And it is all I can
Do
To slumber and
Not weep,
For they will not cease
For man or beast.
On occasion,
They host a celebration,
Yet I feel
Excluded,
Unworthy of their celestial presence.
Usually, however,
They treat me as an equal,
Soothe my feelings,
Accept me as their
Friend.
