Secrets

Chasms deep with flecks of sunlight touching places
Darkened mist of secrets hold back their cloaks and mask their faces
I hear them whisper in my consciousness
Hello?
Reluctant secrets; reveal yourselves!
I can never seem to catch their elusive essence
They laugh as if they don’t exist
Hidden aspects of my subconscious
I feel them brush me when I turn my back
Only to catch a glimpse of them scurry away
Fade into the gloom, all but forgotten, unknown
Like the invisible stars in the night sky
Obliterate to my knowledge,
yet make up every fiber of my being

I really love the language in your poem, I thought it was really creative. I agree, it's a little dark, but kind of abstract and mysterious too.

I like this! Your vocabulary in this poem is incredible, and I love it. There is a touch of erriness to this poem that you incorporated very nicely. Good work :)
