Thats when he said; ‘forever girl’
I smiled one last time
They told me to run as fast as I could
The denial became a blur
Along with the tears
I should have listened to them
I wish I had, I wish I would

The thing about endings
They’re really beginnings
I wish I’d known that from the start
Before I submitted to lending
My heart out again, and again
A new beginning was deserved
I reassured my broken heart

Thats when he said forever girl
Always for you dear

She believed him

He lied

I wrote this piece at about 2am in the morning instead of studying for a final. Typical =)

Live Life Like A Party That Never Ends

I like the way you wrote this! It had a very nice flow to it. Definitely one of the best 2 AM poems I've read. Nice work :)

i think the word choice of this poem is good. i really love that you quoted the words most guys would use toward a girl. keep on writing.
