Medusa
Medusa.
Look me in the eyes
And I’ll say I’ll leave you.
Tell me the truth.
Are you addicted?
You seem invincible
But unlike your sisters
you ain’t no deathless god.
It’s not because your not with me,
It’s because you never leave
Medusa.
Your eye’s tell lies your mouth could not speak of
But I need to let go of letting go.
A reason for staying
And I don’t even care.
So just tear out the threads
My skin,
One by one,
until my bones feel embarrassed from all the attention.
Left now, to forget regret.
Medusa.
