Be who you want to be!

I feel it
The melting of my being
The aching crunches of white falling apart
Families building me into tiny little balls of joy
Using me for their amusement
But as the sun rises I still begin to melt
Slinking away from all the pressure of children upon my back
Then the aching heat passes away and cold begins to lock me away
Down into the depths of frost and ice
My other friends have finished their flight
They’d cascaded down from the fluffy beauty in the blue
I glitter among houses and shimming down slopes
Carefully, others slush across the thick and wet
Slowly, slowly
But soon I fade away
Drowning in my own
Waiting to be reborn in the sky
So I could fall again

This was part of an assignment as a Snow Poem in poetry class. It was a really great piece that I am framing on my wall.
