i am the wind and the rain
the pitter patter and swish swish
that lulls you to sleep at night
frightening in a storm
i scream and throw trees about
cry a flood to drown it all
you cower inside your protection
waiting until im calm as before
and yet to-marrow morning you come out smelling the fresh rain
and icy wind
as you marvel in all the
powers that be
even the ones in me
the cleansing rain and gentile wind
yes even i the
pitter patter and the swish swish
that lulls you to sleep at night
