Crashing Waves.
Sadness comes like crashing waves
Drowning my heart in heaviness
Happiness is the life preserver
That I need so desperately
I try again and again to catch my breath
But I keep getting pulled under
One glimpse of sunlight is what my mind needs
For the heavy clouds to clear away for just a moment
My heart continues to ache for life
Screaming for another day
Sorrow envelopes my haunted soul
Waiting for my time on earth to come to an end
