Ode to Sunset

Your bright, bold colors fascinate me---
Your reds, yellows and oranges
seem to dance along the horizon.
The sun slowly d
r
o
p
s,
and the sky fades from light blue
to a gloomy black,
but the moon allows a gentle glow
to shine upon our face.
I say goodnight to the sky
and close my eyes,
enveloping myself in a deep sleep.
