the human mind
How cold and numb
This spinning earth makes me
And the people here
Are aliens to my kind?
I can’t find out
how to work this thing
That is wisely called a mind
It will not listen to my cries
It laughs at all my pleads
My heart illuminates all the pain
my soul refuses all my needs
But first it starts with my mind
with all its complex courses
And weird and mistakable ways
The mind makes its own decisions to fly
