My Love
Death is peaceful
Life is hard
You try to tell me
But I can’t understand.
I can’t watch you
Hurt yourself
Anymore…
Please don’t let me plead.
Crying out in pain
Silent pain…
I can hear every subtle movement.
I can’t fix this
You won’t let me try
Then I look to see
That the deed is done.
I walk down to where you lay
On that dark, misty night
And yet again I hear your screams
Echoeing in my ears.
All I could think
At this point in time
Is that, my fault it was
That you my love, is gone.
I try to think
Why…you would die
And I thought then and there
Where was I?
My love have I done this?
Have I?
I cried that one, last time
And a whisper I heard
Telling me that all shall be right
In the End.
