His Humor
You only see one side
The tame, boastful side
A misconception, I assure you
Because what you see as rude
I see as humor
You say I find humor in strange things
But if you could see the shadowed side
A part of him that he blankets
Because it is cold, fragile
Imperfect
A side of him that downpours
An inexcusable shame
A side he scorns and tries to mold
A side of him he would rather
Pretend is invisible
But if it was invisible,
Then he would only be half of
What he is
There would be no illumination
Behind his gleaming eyes
There would be no meaning
Behind the upturned corners of his lips
There would be no humor
Behind his jokes
A humor that only I can perceive
A part of him
That originates
From the side
He hides
My favorite side of him
