No facial expression
Just blank eyes
As I stare at the ceiling
Numb and desensitized
Thoughts do not occupy my mind
Empty and bare
As a painters and new canvas
So torn up I’ve shut down
Trying to prevent the unstoppable
Shame, guilt, because again
I’ve failed
