Promises Are a Taste of Indulgence
You promised me you loved me
Promised me you did
Promised me your life
As if it were a bid
I believed in all those lies
The truth I thought was told
My heart I gave to you
My heart I gave to hold
I never ment to cry
Never ment to sulk
Never ment a word
Except those three words I spoke
You indulged in every weakness
Indulged in my very fear
Indulged in all those little
Hopeless crystal tears
You told me that you loved me
But please, tell me, was it true?
After all this feeling,
Was all so brand new
If it were not true,
Tell me, was it all fake?
I know you lied a lot,
But a number, give or take,
Would be nice
