Every where, all around, every minute, every day.
How could there be so many?
Numbers are everywhere.

Writing right now, all I think about is
How many words fit on each line.
Eight, six, three and back to eight.

Except now you’re counting, and you want to
See if that was true.
How can you know if numbers in the world
Are true?

When you wake up, you look at the clock,
Thinking it says something different, turns out
Your alarm hasn’t even gone off.
The numbers have a mind of their own.

Or when you’re trying to read a code and there’s
One number that lies
And pretends to be something else.
You’ll have to restart, typing it in once again.

The number of pieces of a puzzle you’ve
Been working with, and finally getting done,
You see that You’ve lost one.
And without luck, looking all over the house,
Under the cushions, and even in the bathroom,
And the laundry,
You end up changing the number on the box
From 3000, to 2999.

Numbers are everywhere, and we can’t leave them untouched.
Everything includes them.
Next time you read something or watch something,
Clean something, or search for something,
You’ll think of the numbers, not matter what.

This are numbers that we don't think about so much on a regular basis.
