Blushing, I glance down
trying to fight that smile
overcoming my face
resisting my efforts
to stop it.

Biting my lip
wanting you to notice
hoping that you don’t
confusing what I want
with you.

Laughing at your jokes
wondering if I’m too
overbearing with attention
praying that I’m not
like that.

Missing you when you’re gone
counting the minutes
waiting not-so-patiently
frustrating myself

Avoiding getting attached
realizing it’s no use
giving up self-control
feeding off of
raw emotion.

Smiling, I look up
looking in your eyes
staring back at mine
finding myself feeling
comfortable again.

I don't need a rose. I want a daisy you picked for my hair. I don't want some fancy box of chocolate. I want a pink frosting cookie you made just for me. Lets skip the upscale restaraunt and have a picnic in the park.

i know the feeling; no matter what you do, there is always that one person you are a hundred percent comfortable around and you end up falling for.

This is very expressive and i sincerely like your poem
