Sorry For You
My life is a living hell,
With all of your complaining
About how I am disgust you.
You wish you could disappear
Like the steam from hot water.
And leave everything behind.
Well, guess what? I do not care!
I cannot take it anymore.
Returning home every day,
To you moaning and groaning
Noisier than a lion,
Feeling sorry for yourself.
Remember all the people
With lives much worse than your own.
All the ravenous children
Scavenging through the garbage.
Kids who don’t live long enough
To lose front teeth, or grow them.
Damaged, traumatized soldiers,
Skirmishing for your freedom.
Women, fighting breast cancer,
Men, who lose their loved to it.
Remember all the beggars
With rags you clean your house with.
Thousands would give anything,
To live the life you have now.
With a luxurious car,
A full stomach every day,
All your limbs neatly attached,
And two living, breathing kids.
Now I feel sorry for you,
‘Cause you don’t have what I do.
Love is something to treasure,
Not kill with displeasure.
This is something you won’t know,
Love isn’t something you would show.
