Favorite Quote:
I can forgive, but I cannot forget, is only another way of saying, I will not forgive. Forgiveness ought to be like a cancelled note - torn in two, and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one. ~Henry Ward Beecher

Why are you left
Here and all alone?
This is something
I can't condone

You deserve to be heard
My love, and my friend
And I promise to listen
'Til my heart's fatal end

Because if nobody hears you
Then nobody sees you
And all the potential
Being shunned from view

So tell me this, with good reason
Why are you crying

If I'll listen all season?

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this poem in light of some recent issues with my best friend, and I hope that people will see that they can help simply by listening to a friend, or a stranger.
