Yours
Something grows quickly
 from the ashes
 The fire has burned
 In my heart

 The ice starts to melt
 Away from the edges
 Greenery
 Begins
 to take over

 A beauty
 Smooth lines
 And rough edges

 The embers
 Spread out
 Across the star
 Turning to water
 Now life can glow
 And so it has

 You have
 Changed the look
 Of my ice-filled heart
 Now it stays black
 Trying to heal
 from the damage
 of the years
 from those who chose
 To freeze my soul

 Comfortably warm
 Inside my heart
 I think I like
 it here
 I will never
 Let it
 change
 again
 I'm glad it was you
 That I found
 To melt the ice
 when we are together
 The time so close
 It will be gone

 I will be yours.
