Wishes Don't Always Come True

i wish you could see me just for a moment, what i have become.
i wish you could see my successes, my failures, my joy, my grief.
i have grown up.
i wish you could see how much you meant to me, and how much i wish i didn't care.
i wish you could see how brave i am, an how i look like you.
i wish you could see how badly it hurt me when you left.
but no i know, wishes don't always come true.
