Everyone is entitled to be stupid. But some people abuse the privlidge!

This side of the playground is lonely
With only the scattered leaves to keep me company
I sit on the cold, hard black top and watch
As the boys play ball
And the girls stand in the corner and gossip
Glances over shoulders are usual
But spoken words are far and few between
No one even attempts to make a conversation
I wait anxiously for the bell to ring
So I can leave this lonesome place
For the hallways,
With lockers slamming and books closing
Because it’s so much easier to be ignored
When you’ve got places to go and things to do
Instead of sitting here and pretending not to care
When really, it’s eating away at me inside
I want to be known, not ignored
I want to be a part of those groups
Instead I’m alone
On my own
And trying not to cry

I wrote this for a school assignment that had to do with bullying. I decided to do it from a 'target's' point of view.
