My Troublesome Chick
Chirp, chirp, chirp—
Clucks the chick,
As if he wants to say,
I want to go your way.
A chick is as taxing as a kid,
I refrain from making a bid,
On how much one would pay,
To take him home for the day.
This chick is as demanding as a baby,
Never saying maybe,
Always squawking me too!
Or what is that goo...
That chick is like an itchy anklet,
He hovers around my ankles,
Almost got strangled,
As I tripped,
And he flipped,
Down the steep, slippery strip.
Somebody help me please!
I bellow as he bleeds,
Finally understanding,
He was dancing,
In my heart as I was ranting.
Coo…coo…coo—
Chokes the chick,
As if he wants to say,
I loved you all the way.
