To sit by
To turn
Ask a simple question
Or even have
A small conversation

A pleasant surprise
for you to speak
To me
Almost
As an equal
Even though
(And you might not know)
I do not feel
As an equal

You try
So much harder
Care
So much more
Than I
Too long
I've been pressed
I feel the need
To give it a break

Thanks
To my competitive
Edge
I may have
To come back
On top
