I can not begin to tell you how much I adore
To stand around at lunchtime and watch you play ball
I love looking in your eyes and gazing at your smile
That makes me want to give you my all
I wish you would hold me in your arms of hot stone
Because when you caress me it feels like I'm at home
You're such a good friend but I am confused
You make me feels special them make me feel bruised
I guess what this means is that we've made it this far
And maybe it's best that things stay as they are

The only thing holding us back in life is our desire to stay where we are and not venture further.

This poem has just the right balance of joy and melancholy so that it makes the reader think without being depressing like many other poems. Another good job, DancingInTheRain :)
