oh wait, it's
not a book just

paper
all stapled in a row

(oh well)
checked the email before

so happy, but
the happiness faded,
leaving only

annoyance
it's junk in the inbox

(but it's never marked that)
read the same thing in
that
book-not-book
(it's called a magazine)



and the
thoughts could barely
be kept in.
they're falling from the
fingers, braids, lips.
are they trapped?
are they written? maybe.
maybe...
maybe not.

It's funny...I wrote this when I was flipping through a TeenInk magazine, and I noticed that I only felt the urge to write when I read the articles, but not when I got the weekly update.
