Missing Sock
You were lost in the wash only yesterday
But I have faith you will come back to stay
You best friend, Mr. Shoe
If very sad, missing you
Toenay L. Polish, your next door neighbor
Has faded with concern and stopped all labor
And don't forget about your wife
She's living now a lonely life
She's your soulmate, your other half
And now tears have replaced her usual laugh
Without you I don't have complete
Protection for the souls (soles) of my feet
Without knowing if you're here or there
I don't have my favorite colorful pair.

Adorable! I love how you took something as simple as socks and made it into a love story. Great job!
Please read, rate, and comment on my poems! Thanks!
