Sleepless Dreams
An endless day-
A postponed, nay cancelled silent night...
the curtains o'er cracking, red dormer windows always drawn back
and the tainted hue, taken on a blood-scarlet blight.
Sunrise to Sunrise: Day to Day,
stuck in vividly sharp reality, like frozen-time:
no imagined-plane to take the edge away.
Used up film in a two-dimensional world.
Eternal dawn, harbouring permanent sleepless-pain
with no morphine to dim the over-leased days luster.
A dyke against the Sandman's breath:
not allowing me, my thoughts or Reality a moments rest.
''Yet, the advantage of being an insomniac-
is that I get to be awake for my dreams.''
