Blue Jeans
When I think of our friendship,
I think of my once favorite pair
Of blue jeans.
Old, faded, torn
To the point that their only salvation
Would be getting cut off.
But I don't do that.
Not because I hope to wear them again,
But because I like having them in one piece.
So it's easier to remember
How good they used to make me feel.
