American
“Together we stand, one nation”,
together but separate by skin color,
language, food, clothes, jobs, and culture.
Some get blamed of having culture
because they are expected to be “American.”
It isn’t part of being American being different,
or must we all fit into the same mold?
For some reason you don’t see brown with white,
we close our eyes to the reasons why they are great.
We chose to believe we only belong in one region.
Why can’t we mix? Why is it so looked down upon?
Give me a reason why not to explore.
