Collapse
Collapse against the wall
Just to know that there is something solid
Catch you if you fall
‘Cause the arms that used to save have fallen
Turn your back and run
Haunted by the path that you have chosen
Bullet from a gun
Must outrun the fate that has you frozen
Take the stress in hand
Hold it down inside so no one sees it
Nothing’s as you planned
Cannot make your life the way you need it
~~~
Never wondered, never asked
Questioned why it had to be
Forever longing for the past
Never wanting to be free
~~~
Shiver in the night
You just want to fall asleep forever
Hiding from the light
Given by the glaring pain of failure
Never good enough
Always standing in another’s shadow
Trying to be tough
Want to lead but always have to follow
Steel your mind and heart
Pull yourself from depths to which you sink
Try to make a start
Keep on breathing, living on the brink
~~~
Never thought you’d come so far
Living in your cage of glass
Never knew it’d be so hard
Never dreamed how long it’d last
~~~
Wipe your tears away
Stand up from the floor where you have fallen
See another day
Face the fears alone, the bitter calling
