To Play A Game With The Devil
It had gotten progressively colder
Nights and days meshed as one
At first, trying to decipher between the two had been the priority
But that had fallen from the list
 Within the first week

 The lights never shown
 The curtains remained drawn
And nobody, not a single soul would dare to disrupt

It was a dark, voiceless place
A place where you battle your darkest demons
A place where the only light came from
Was the small torch within your heart

 It would consume the weak
 And feed off the strong
No one stood a chance against this ravenous monster

The survivors walked a long and lonely path
No human being would dare to challenge
But as for those foolish enough
Well, they were cast into a world of utter insanity and chaos

 And guess where I’m standing?
Right, in the middle of it all.
