Lost in Wonderland

It felt as if reality was slipping from my grasps
As if I was slowly begging to fall down the rabbit hole
Just as Alice had
But this time
There’d be no Mad Hatter to rescue me
It would only be me
And my inner Cheshire Cat
To taunt and torment me at every turn
I’d become lost within the Queen of Heart’s maze
I’d become lost within my own reality
I’d become lost, within myself.
