First sight, no second glance;
Life paralleled, never passing;
Nature unknown behind facades;
…
Friendship kindled with loss of another;
Bonds growing stronger with time;
Humour found, surfacing joy;
Random smiles;
Bursting mirth;
My dull was brightened with a sun;
A blazing flame in the bitter night;
Vacancy, now teeming elation,
Where would I be without my friend?
Lost in the gloom;
Soulless.
