how can the tears fall

flood over the walls I've carefully built?

wash over by face like rain

force me to lose my self control

how can the tears overflow?

shaking me violently

leaving me stunned

the tears are so gentle

yet so dangerous

so guilty

but so not

just trying to help me find relief

but only making me flinch back in fear

I went to school, upset with everything. Everything that's been building up hit me in the face. My friend just had to ask two words and I fell apart "What's wrong?" Because the answer was EVERYTHING was wrong!
