We start a race
With the greatest hopes
Rising for a name above all others
So what about second place why most
We be gold when silver would do just fine
Why are we rewarded for killing someone elses
Dreams we grew with a spirit of love and hopes
We once believed we’d never do what are
fathers did to us why are we not fathers of the future
but simply we rest at pause and leave the world to burn
we leave are wives
we leave are children
we leave are hope
and we say under god we trust
how can you be under something
yet believe in it not.
