That is the Dance
Lose myself for a minute in the lights
And the steady thunder
Rainbow sunbeams coming high
There’s no such thing as work or school
There’s not a single stupid rule
(but for one, which is to):
Lose yourself for a minute in the night
Wave your arms everybody knows how
Deep inside
They can sway or they can jump or they can just
Forget all that once was, and will be again
For now, just lose yourself in the drug
That is the dance
And embrace the night; don’t believe that it will ever end
Let your sweaty brow bob up and down
And surrender to the spell
That is the dance
It won’t ever die, ‘til the daylight
Begins to come
So feel the mob you’re part of, one of many, for now
Or the star of your own mind
That’s how things work at the summer storm
That is the dance.
