Favorite Quote:
"Here's to waking up Thursday, and thinking it's Friday."
"It's Wednesday, dude."

"And we didn't think it was very cool, so... we tried to kill him."
"Dude, they're cops!"

"Great minds think alike."
"And fools seldom differ."

How do you know when you’re right, and they’re wrong?
When it feels like they’re turning the program down
Because they’re too prideful,
Not because they’re sure they can get the money
(Even though your teacher offered the program;
It’s not like they don’t qualify)

How do you know when you’re right, and they’re wrong?
When they tell you you’re still a kid,
That they know better,
And that they’ll find a way to make everything right
(And treat you like you have your eyes half closed
While they scrounge the money up to show up)

How do you know when you’re right, and they’re wrong?
When it feels like nothing you do
Can change their minds
Because they’re convinced you know nothing
(Although really, you’re not stupid
You see the stress lines on her face when it comes up)

How do you know when you’re right, and they’re wrong?
When you can feel it, you need help
You don’t have the money to even go on the field trip
And they’re scrambling to borrow from family
(And yet, they won’t admit they need the program
They really, really need it)

How do you know when you’re right and they’re wrong?
When you want to prove you’re not a kid anymore
You know they need help
So why won’t they just get some?
(The offer’s right there;
All they have to do is take it)

How do you know when you’re right and they’re wrong?
When it feels like the world’s crashing in on you,
And you have the eyes to see it
But your parents don’t believe anything’s wrong
(That or they’re lying to you
The latter seems more likely)

Because today's economy sucks, and my parents are proud.
