Near the edge of the waterfall’s arc,
a boy, alone, stands listening to the crashing symphony of water, the inharmonious

voice

of agony
while towards the sky’s black portal, his words emanate:

H e l l o ?

ARE YOU UP THERE DAD?

searching,
listening…

alongside, tiny creatures stare up him - their curious lonely marbles reflecting him

the small shadow glides closer
and
closer trying to connect with ------- rising and falling like a yoyo
then

w
n
w
a
r
d

… a dithering soul steadily floats above

Out on the city’ s streets,
she reaches out to indifferent bodies and empty eyes,
begging for a familiar aspect, a child’s face

searching
and writing:

HAVE YOU SEEN MY--------------
on torn papers

with gesturing of height, clothes, eyes ,
natural, motherly gestures of futility, communications of lost existence

while silently Invoking God with every vacant expression-
OHLORDOHLORDOHLORD

her sole thread…

Enclosed in his room,
the old man steadily presses those lonely black and white keys,
releasing graceful tunes in attempts to recover her distant voice,
while suffusing scraps of his heart throughout acoustic waves

at night, with no signal of her return, he drifts to the melody of his dreams:
her figure floats above as silent words desire…

a solemn mouth gives to
the outline of his self breaking away and gradually rising

and rising

towards the light’s orchestra
as all connections fade
