This Is me
I am insecure and broken
I wonder when it'll be my turn
I hear cruel laughter
I see what I wish I was
I want to be accepted
I am insecure and broken
I pretend to be like them
I feel like I can't breathe
I touch the skin I don't feel at home in
I worry about what they think
I cry when I mess up
I am insecure and broken.
I understand that I'll never be on their level
I say that they're much cooler than me
I dream about actually fitting in
I try to conform myself to their standards
I hope that one day I'll be accepted
I am insecure and broken.
