Whispers in the Night
He's confident, sturdy
 Blonde hair, blue eyes
 Fit
 He could go with anyone
 He chose me
 Each of my problems
 He says are his own
 Says
 “You’ll always have me”
 Started out best friends
 Each day turning more
As we talked on the phone-
 For hours
 Before
 Slowly
 Dying off
 Into whispers in the night
 Saying, "I miss you"
 "Can't wait to see you"
 But never seeing the other
 Me waiting for his text
 “How are you?”
 Replying
 But always wondering
 Does he even care anymore?
 Or will it die off
 The whispers
 Now silence
 In the night.
