Darkness
Lost in darkness
or so she thinks
hidden by day
ignored by night
cold as winter delicate like glass
no more hope in convincing herself
that anything can be different
screaming in frustration
tears blurring vision
nothing but black pitch darkness
No one listens
No one sees her
Invisible.
no one sees
the pain she’s hidden
for far too long
does anyone see the real person
behind the mask?
No friends
just strangers
who stare with clear hate
there’s no understanding
her thoughts quiet but simple
as she walks though the empty halls
Alone
as usual, as always
she keeps her distance
focused on each step she takes
she forces a smile, a fake smile
her thoughts leading to tomorrow.
