Beneath the Light

Holds him as black sky
Holds night.
Beneath a cage
Strapped within bars of steel
He screams
No more left within.
Hopelessly falls to ground
Echoes of sorrow pierce as grieving
Trying to find light of candle
Never close to near
Heart never replaced
Wounded with struggles
To let go of past
But falls to deep hole
No one can feel how he is all alone
Beneath the light.
